Just speak in private to your manager and explain your situation. You got this Mama ♥️
Congratulations ☺️ Don’t hold back from telling them if you want to - my only advice would be to follow up in writing. Good luck!
Thank you ladies :)
argh i’m so scared of this i feel the same way! (im not pregnant but do plan on a second baby soon) but i really don’t want my employer to think im just having babies for the time off because ive heard other companies say it 🤣 i just want my babies within 1-3 years between them
Glad this threads here cause I've just found out I'm 5 weeks pregnant and due to go back imminently!
@Katie literally this was me! I want them to be similar in age and I’d rather have my career impacted continue to be sleep deprived now then settle back into life and go through it all again in a few years 🤣 & yes exactly that don’t want people to think I’m the biggest piss taker around returning for a few months and jetting off again!
@Charleigh congratulations lovely :) good luck with telling your employer! I’m sure we’ll be fine fingers crossed 🤞🏽 I think I will tell them straight away instead of hiding it and hope for the best!
depends on your job and how you feel. if its a low risk job you can tell them whenever you feel ready but if its higher risk job you should tell them asap but most importantly of all congratulations and enjoy it!
@Julia thank you lovely :) its not a high risk job thankfully! It’s a office role and I had someone seconding me till I get back but it’s just I’m a over thinker and get so anxious about x
im sure they will be over the moon for you! x
I told them after my 12 week scan
Read your maternity policy there is usually a bit in there about being pregnant when coming back to work xx
I’d advise you tell them as soon as you can. Some workplaces need to do risk Assesments because of pregnancy and you may be required to have a lighter work loads
I told them on my first day back 😄 I was 13 weeks
