Heart rate

Does anyone measure their heart rate with a watch at all? If so I’m concerned about mine. I mentioned it to the midwife and she said to probs get it checked out but I don’t want to sit for hours and A and E. And I’m concerned of what it could be or what results will come back

I do with mine due to fainting regularly it’s normal to have high heart rate in pregnancy

Is it normal for it to be at 108bpm when I’m just sat down on my phone or reading?

Perfectly normal during pregnancy your heart rate can be anywhere between 80bpm to 115bpm mine sits at 111bpm

It’s funny as my heart rate told me I was pregnant before I knew as my resting heart rate went up 10bpm compared to when I wasn’t pregnant

i do. my resting heart rate in pregnancy is between 50 and 60. before pregnancy it was in the 40s i think it really depends where you were before preg. what was your resting heart rate before?

It’s normal for heart rate to increase in pregnancy because the blood volume increases, so the body compensates by lowering blood pressure and increasing heart rate to pump the extra blood. If you are symptomatic with it and getting palpitations or passing out/ any other symptoms with it then I would definitely get checked over. Your GP may be able to do an ECG etc. if you don’t feel it’s urgent for A&E and can wait until Monday!

Yeah has happened to me both pregnancies, normally my resting heart rate is between 75-80 but when pregnant it jumps from anywhere to 85-95!!

@Em my resting heart rate was around 58-68 I am a gym instructor but haven’t been since I unexpectedly lost my mum last November and then had emergency surgery a couple of months later.

My seems to go to 110 some days.. and it says anything over 100 is abnormal x

@Jen i’m so sorry you lost your mum. sounds like you has a really hard few months last year 😞

Not sure if should be really concerned about this
