My daughter responds well to songs so I would just sing a poop song while she pooped and then she would wave and say bye bye to it as she flushed the toilet. 🤣 The first couple of times I had to hug her the whole time she pooped as she was very worried about it. You just keep going at it and try to incorporate something they like with it so it's more fun than scary. Keep going and she'll get there!!
Yesssss! My 5-year-old son is still doing it... we have yet found a solution. We've tried rewards and punishments, and nothing seems to work. Because he holds it, it does end up with him being constipated, so we do give him miralax regularly. So I have no advice other than I feel your frustration
At home and school we rewarded for popping on the potty bc that always was harder for us . She doesn’t love pooping at school on the potty bc she wants to be private . I didn’t love the reward thing bc we had to break the habit of it but it did work for us . My daughter was fully potty trained at 2.5 there was zero pressure she was just ready . Two weeks later she was overnight potty trained as well . For her she just didn’t want to wear a diaper anymore . I think it helped that at school she was 6 months younger than everyone so when they turned 3 she was 2.5 and wanted to be like the “big kids “
Ours has been fully potty trained since he was 2.5. I'd talk to your pediatrician, but mine gave us special miralax instructions bc she said sometimes they get too backed up and it scares them. It was rough but seemed to work. Now we know what to look for and give him miralax on occasion. He's three now and it seems to have worked itself out
Same boat we started potty training 3 weeks ago she’s amazing at wee’s and has the odd accident at nursery but she was freaked out about doing a poo on the potty or toilet. We have been persistent with it and avoided putting a nappy on, she waits and holds it in until she no longer can and it comes out in her pants if we don’t get to the potty quick enough which obvs means dirty knickers. However this week we have made some progress she’s not freaking out as much which is a positive sign and today we made a silly game of our poos go to a poo party down the toilet with their friends 🤣 Silly i know but she loved it and had a poo on the potty tonight with very little tears. Keep going sounds like she’s doing great x
