Try having her sit with you during meals and eating in front of her
You start very slow with solids. Once a day at first. It’s a huge transition for babies and it’s extremely psychological (ie if you’re controlling too much that can have lasting impacts, standing up while feeding THEM not allowing baby to freely explore etc). Some babies aren’t quite ready at 6 months. I’d take a look and share here what you’re doing for solids. We are second time parents and only do once a day BLW. Time of day is also important (are they tired, hungry- food isn’t really ingested much so does not replace breast milk or formula) there’s a lot of thought that goes into it and to nail a good schedule for you and baby.
I wouldn't rush it honestly. My girl is still exclusively bf, today was her first time having banana, I put it in one of those mesh holders... I'm going slow with solids this time around. I just bought sweet potato to make some
Don’t rush… mine isn’t eating much either… but at the same time no teeth have came in and it was like that with my first til he had teeth around 11months
Mine is 6 months and has only had a taste of a few things and is very uninterested. Babies can literally survive on only milk for their first year don’t stress it.
Don’t stress it! My rule of thumb is food before one is just for fun. My oldest was the same way and my second did not like jarred baby food from stores. I made baby food from scratch and my second loved it.
Dont stress. Before 1, food is mostly for exploring and allergies. 6 months is still super young. My 6 months old licked a cucumber today. Thats her meal. She refused everything else. Yesterday she didnt want to eat as well. A few days ago she had chicken and mashed potatoes and loved it. Milk should be their main food until 1
@whitney 6 months
@whitney I do
@Taylor hi, ive tried multiple different times. It seemed like we had made progress with fruits, until I added veggies, I do a combination of BLW and purees. Ive given her spoons to practice, but when she realizes it has food on it she just plays with her fingers. She barely gets a taste.
@Jade my baby got her bottom teeth at 3 months old. And she’s curious because she puts everything in her mouth lately. Idk if she’s gotten a thing for the actual chair.
@M 🍃🌷🐈⬛ thank you!! Ill keep trying, she has shown interest towards fruit, im worried she won’t like anything else. Lol
It’s okay, don’t rush too much some kids aren’t interested for a while but keep trying! Do it at your meal times so you and your family are all eating together. Stay seated and don’t force it when they are done they are done and that’s okay! I actually don’t introduce fruits for as long as I can because natural sweetness is way more appealing so I wanted both kids to enjoy vegetables. Are you also going 1 food for multiple days? We do 1 food for 3 days then move to a new one and imo 2 times right now is a lot for a baby that age. I’d scale it back and put less pressure on you and baby! It should be fun, not stressful. It’s a slow transition and a lot for them. Doing it 1 food at a time for a few days helps you with any reactions too. Take a breath you’re doing the right things. Just keep offering once a day and multiple days for each food . 1st day they may not care, second day they may love it
Oh and download solid starts for the database to see how to prepare for BLW. I think many are doing BLW incorrectly and how you present the food is crucial to them being able to hold and play with it

@Taylor yes I had heard the same thing about starting fruits last. But she is constipated and has to drink prune juice every day. So the doctor recommended we do purees cause it has less sugar than juice. So she wants us to switch from juice to purees for her constipation.
@Taylor yes!! I read about it here on another post so I got it. Thank you si much for the advice 🙏🏻
How old?!
