Reflux at night

My little boy is 7 weeks old and has been suffering with reflux, particularly when he’s been put in his crib. I hold him up for over half an hour and we are feeding him little and often but every time he’s put in his bed he spits up within 10 minutes and will fuss and cry and not settle or sleep in his bed which is so difficult as I can’t get any sleep. He will fall asleep in our arms no problem. Has anyone else had any experience with this or have any advice, it would be much appreciated! TIA

What bottles are you using and are you paced bottle feeding?

I don't have any advice but my little one is 4 weeks and I'm going through the exact same and it's beyond exhausting 😔 We're on gaviscon but not convinced that's helped. Have you looked into cranial osteopathy, I've booked in as heard good things but it's an expensive gamble but willing to try anything x

@Alice I’m using mam bottles and yes, he takes little breaks anyways which is good. He hasn’t coughed or choked on the milk since we’ve made this change. Im feeding expressed breast milk but I also get him on the boob at least once a day

@Kate isn’t it!! I feel for you! We’re not giving him any medication currently but was advised to try infacol which I’ve been given just in the evening feeds. I’ve heard about it but will definitely do my research! I know there is someone who does it near me and I’ve heard good things!x

We put the crib on a slight tilt so his head was a tiny bit higher than his body and that really helped Luckily my next to me cot had the option to do this but my health visitor initially mention just putting a few magazines underneath to raise it if it didn’t

@Lucy we’ve done the same but I don’t feel like it helps masses. Had a much better night last night though so hopefully it’ll continue!

I saw a health visit yesterday as my little boy is exactly the same. She said to try a comfort formula and you’ll notice a difference almost straight away if that’s going to help. She said if not, contact gp and will most likely give infant gaviscon.
