Hair growth

Why does it seem like its taking forever for my daughter's hair to grow a decent length? She was born with hair.. some. Even as she was crowning the dr exclaimed "baby has hair". But in certain lighting and in pics it looks as if she has a kiwi head if kiwi hair was an inch and a half long. I see other people's babies that had just as much hair or a little more at birth and they have a head full of hair now. Is there anything i can do to help the growth? i do make sure to moisturize her hair during the dry winter months. I do this before her baths so that the shampoo dont dry her hair out. Is there anyone else experiencing this? Yes her hair is longer now than it was at birth but she also lost some hair in the early months

My daughter's hair is just starting to come in too and it's nothing to worry about since hair follicles are still doing their thing. I will say that there's probably no need to shampoo every night since there's not much hair it will dry it out. My daughter gets her hair wet in the shower every night but shampoo is rarely needed. You wanna moisturize after the shampoo, not before. Shampoo is designed to strip the hair, so you'll need to find some good moisturizers for your baby's hair type. Their hair will come in over time

I dont shampoo her hair every night. About every 3 days i use shampoo. I know how drying and damaging shampoo can be. The shampoo i use for her helps with moisturizing as well as cleaning. I know it only does a small percentage but thats why i moisturize first before washing. I use a little bit of castor oil as im not to keen on the list of ingredients in certain moisturizers. I just havent found one i like yet. She has skin a lot like mine where she gets very dried out during the winter time(sensitive skin) and certain soaps make it worse. I use lotion after bath too but i havent found one that works amazingly yet. If you have any recommendations of something good for sensitive skin, i am all ears cause i wanna do what is best for my girl. Thank you for responding to my post. I appreciate any advice that is sincere 🥰
