I had 2 girls 18 months apart and it was the best🥰 I personally found the transition really nice! when I first had her my partner would take over most things with our eldest in the mornings whilst I fed baby etc! But once we got her into a routine it made the day really easy to manage on my own! At bed times I’d put the baby in her chair next to me whilst I put the other to bed. I found getting my eldest involved in playing with the new baby helped them to bond also 💞
I’m definitely more tired than with my first. It’s a lot physically and there’s always something to sort out, but it’s so lovely too. My toddler loves his little sister and I’m really enjoying all the baby cuddles. This time I worry a lot less about everything. I didn’t need to buy/ get absolutely everything for baby. It really helps to have my toddler in nursery / with grandparents sometimes to have some time just with baby. That means I can get a bit of rest too. And if you can have someone take the baby sometimes so you can spend quality time with toddler that really helps. I think otherwise my son can get a little jealous….
@Emily Jane Collins Thank you, and it's good to hear about your transition. Thanks for the tip about bedtime. i was worried about how bedtime would go, and that sounds like a good plan putting baby in chair next to me 💕 xx
Aww, that sounds good hun. You sound like you're doing an amazing job with 2 xx
