Advice

Hi, I am needing some advice in regards to my daughter’s meals, she’s six months old and currently has CMPA and I have been trying new foods I think she has a wheat and oat allergy too as she has the same reaction as milk. What meals can I make that are suitable for a six month old that are dairy, wheat and oat free?, my family aren’t much help with things and Google is telling me one thing then another so I feel so stuck. I also should be in contact with the dietician, but I’ve not been given a number or anything

At 6 months just give fruit and veg. You can use gluten/wheat free flour and pasta. Also live down the free from aisles from now on 🤣 You can continue to do that until you’ve been seen by a dietician. I also suggest chasing them and the GP every week to be seen. We’re at almost 9 months old and still not been seen by the dietician (with an IgE milk allergy) so keep chasing. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/collection/gluten-and-dairy-free-recipes

Perfect, thank you

I’m celiac (so can’t have gluten) and my baby is CMPA so whilst breastfeeding I had to avoid gluten, dairy and eggs it was tough! I stuck to meat, fruit, veg - potatoes and rice. As Sophie said the Free From sections are great, try a few ones, I’ve got one sainsburys near me with a limited selection but a much larger one has loads of options! X

I started with a lot of meats, iron rich foods as per my paediatrician's advise- chicken drumsticks, steak, eggs and added veg/fruits with it slowly.
