@Louise thank you, yes had both an external and internal ultrasound and they couldn’t find anything :(
I’m so sorry 😔 really hoping you get answers tomorrow. It could be a possibility that you have passed the pregnancy, but sometimes the placenta takes longer so may be the cause of rising levels. Obviously I’m not a medical professional so just guessing, but hoping something like this is the case xxx
If you don’t mind me asking what was your first symptoms? Or did you just go for a scan? As I may be going through one myself but I’m not sure I need to call epu tomorrow
@Laura of course not, sorry. I hope you’re not and hope you’re ok. My first symptoms were Tuesday with pink discharge only on wiping, it was just off and on then Wednesday it went from pink to red and again just wiping then Thursday woke up and it was a little more. Still now though not much pain other than a few niggle bits and I’m bleeding now like a period with no clots. Hope your outcome isn’t mine x
I’m so sorry to hear. I went for an early private internal scan yesterday thinking I was 7 weeks (by dates) and they told me I’m showing as 5+3 and the pregnancy and yolk sac was visible but the embryo wasn’t. (I wasn’t panicked by this because I was seen at epu in my previous pregnancy at 5+2 due to pain and had the same outcome and a week later everything was fine) I was told by them to contact epu tomorrow to be re scanned in 1-2 weeks. But last night my last wee of the evening I had very light pink when I wiped. Now this morning I woke up to about 3/4 drops of bright red blood which stopped after and was only there when wiping. Now I’ve had another load come out. 111 dr said I could be having implantation bleeding because now I’m only showing in the 5 week range it’s still possible or I could be having a miscarriage or the scan wand could of triggered blood higher up inside but they’ve said not to panic and it could be many many reasons🫠.
I have no pain at all with it. So I have to call epu tomorrow and tell them all this and go from there. But I imagine I’m gonna be stuck festering for about a week because they won’t rescan yet.
@Laura aw sorry to hear it. I’ve never had one before fortunately. Yours is already a different story though as I went for an ultrasound in the EPU Thursday and nothing was to be seen, diagnosed me as a pregnancy of an unknown location and likely passed miscarriage. But now my HCG had risen- so stressed. Hope you’re ok, it’s a horrible feeling being in limbo unsure if everything’s ok or not. Make sure you go into full self love mode and get yourself lots of treats in the meantime x
Ahhh I see I’m so sorry, I don’t have much advice about the HCG I’m sorry you’ve had to go through this. I am trying to be hopeful but it is hard. I hope you’re okay going forward x
They expect the HCG to at least double every 24/48 hours so although it’s risen, it’s not by much. Really sorry 😞 xx
@Amy thanks, fully aware I’m miscarrying but just confused why my HCG levels haven’t dropped.
With my ectopic I had hcg rising but very abnormally and slowly. I didn’t have any pain or any other symptoms, just spotting.
Sorry you’re going through this. When you first went did they attempt to scan you? As I think that’s the only way for them to know for certain. I’ve no experience with if rising HGC indicates ectopic sorry. Sending lots of strength xxx
