Bottle feeding - any tips please ?

Hello, My baby is 5 months old and I am expressing milk to try to introduce the bottle. It has been hard and it seems like she chews the teat instead of drinking. We are now using a MAM bottle. Any suggestions anyone ? Thank you so much

We were on the point of despairing that ours wouldn't take a bottle but have found that getting the milk really hot means he takes it no problem. Basically we heat it up and test it as it cools just until the point it's not burning

I will give it a go !! Thank you

@Paige which bottle do you use ?

We have a tommee tippee anti colic which we thought was the problem and also tried from the cheap bottle that came with the pumping kit. We thought it was bottle / teat / type of milk but have concluded it was just temperature! Good luck!

Thank you so much !

Try the NUK perfect match bottles - also when trying get someone else to give the bottle with you out the room/house as they can smell you and your milk so if your near it will make it harder to introduce x

My little girl also likes her expressed milk hotter than recommended! Using mam bottles x

Does your baby take a dummy? I find that this helps x

@Lauren thank you so much ! Yes normally I give it to my husband first and to be honest she takes it better with him ! Thank you

@Ellie definitely will try that tomorrow xx

@Michelle it depends on the day. If we are outside and she starts getting tired she takes it. Otherwise not really x

It’s harder to get them to suck after three months as they lose the sucking reflex and chew instead, but not impossible! Good luck! I’d also recommend trying a straw cup or open cup.
