Vinted- HMRC

From one mum to another, could someone shed some comfort please. I filled out that HMRC form on vinted cos I met the requirements “30 sales” “x amount of money” or whatever and I can’t help but feel physically sick. I don’t sell for profit, I have two kids, I moved house etc and I keep loads off stuff n needed it gone. I also went down a size. I’m on UC, still on mat leave. Am I going to be in trouble for selling my own stuff? What if they think I’m profiting? How an earth am I suppose to prove that I’m not reselling? I don’t keep receipts on all my stuff cos why would I? I’ve read the the thing over and over again and I just can’t get my head around it 🤣🥲 Help a very panicked mumma, I don’t want to be taxed or told off🥲🤣

@Sophia I don’t have time to sell as a business even if I wanted to🤣🤣 yeah it’s something like that or it’s 30 or more sales. I’ve sold a fair bit but never for over the price x

@Sophia I never got a message to do it I just wanted to see how much I earnt and I think it was over £1k im not even sure 🤣 I don’t keep track of anything I just wack it up and when it sells I just send it off🫠 x

@Scarlett no, I went on the app and went only “legal info” and “HMRC reporting” and because I had over 30 sales I just thought best to be safe than sorry. I’m just a really big worrier lol!!

I wouldn’t tell HMRC - they have bigger fish to fry than your vinted account!!!!
