Oh gosh, it's definitely a transition. I worked two jobs and did college and just jumped into being a sahm. Find a hobby, friends that like to call and TV shows

I suggest finding things that you really love to do and make it a hobby and try to make a lot of time for yourself. Create schedules if you feel like that’s better for you and always make sure you’re not overwhelmed by being in the house a lot

I have a general schedule more of an outline. I think that's the hardest part is like finding things I like to do because I've worked for so long that I lost track of things I enjoy doing and so it'll be a journey finding those things is again along with friends ! I'm very social and have found my home to be quite the opposite of my personality LOL 😅

I transitioned into a stay at home mom early 2024 in February and it was hard for me because I was always in my head and overthinking about a lot of things being that my boyfriend was the only one going to work, but I realize that I love to play the game, I loved printing out worksheets for my son to do, and I love taking care of the home and catching up on a lot of rest that I’ve missed out on. It’s very worth it.

I love that too and I understand how many women don't get the choice to be stay-at-homes And how much of a gift it's it is. I think the hardest part for me is finding things that I enjoy and getting past the guilt of not working if that makes sense.

I was this person not to long along.. Make a daily schedule. Also depending how old your kids are you have to make it a point to go outside plan things ex. This week I will take the kids to the park at least twice. Also because your home with the kids more you have to be more intentional time with other adult and your alone or self care time now that your going to be alone with the kids a lot you have to be more intentional about this or you will burn out. Ex. Every 3 months I take one day to myself and my husband does a daddy daughter day with the girl I take that as time to myself or go out with friends

That's a really good idea! My baby is 2 and my stepdaughter is seven and I have her a few times during the week and every other weekend right in . I'm on this app. Hopefully I can make some friendships to really expand all my social, social and my kiddos

Take time to slowly figure out a loose daily routine. You don't need to do everything by the clock, but if you do things in the same order, it can really help keep a good flow. Find other SAHMs and try to meet up at least once a week. My first 5 years as a parent I worked part-time as a nanny bringing my kids with me. I had no local friends & I was miserable. Once I became a stay at homeschooling mom & we joined a few activities both my kids & I made friends & it was literally life-changing.

Get out for a walk around the neighborhood or something once a day. Even if it’s just 30 min

I'm still finding my way! Making sure you have activities, etc. outside of the house is crucial for me. And a loose, forgiving schedule is also a cornerstone of my sanity. But! The one thing I wish I had done before leaving work was establish regular meetups with my former coworkers/friends. I'm still trying to figure how to have and navigate a social life.

It’s not easy. I have been out of working in an office for almost 3 years and I still have the guilt of not working most times and find myself picking up some freelancing work just to feel like i have some type of income coming in and also side hustles. But i will say like everyone else said make a schedule or have a routine for yourself and child. Try to get out of the house a bit for sanity. Join different Mom groups, find a hobby.

I have a few side hustles on my husband's day off and have really struggled in the social area but I am trying to get out more and to really get involved with my girls. My oldest is in public school and so me and my youngest hang out at the house. I'm trying to potty train before sending her to daycare so I can find me a hobby that I really enjoy and get to know myself again so that way I can feel more put together. The schedule has helped so I think everyone for all of the advice. It's been super helpful. I hope I continue to get great advice and continue meeting great people!
