We bath every night mostly for my sake for a routine, just water or water and breastmilk. Tried different soaps and times and all have made her skin rashy so I avoid them now (10 weeks)
We try to do every other night. Sometimes our plans if we’re out later than usual may mean we skip a night but my Lb goes down without any dramas the same on the nights we have bath versus nights without bath.
At that age we were bathing once a week. Personally because we want his natural oils from his skin to hydrate him and not dry him out with water/products and at that age, they’re not really ever dirty. But each to their own.
Haha at that age he may have gotten 1 bath a week 😂 🙊 Not like they are playing in the dirt. I now do a bath/water soak every night for bedtime routine. But that didn’t start until 5m when I was so desperate for sleep since the 4m sleep regression. 😴
My LB won't sleep without his bath so it's essential for us, he's had a bath every night since 3 weeks old, we do baby massage after his bath so his skin is fully moisturised
What I do is I give baby a bath once a week, a shower twice a week (we have a baby bath seat so it just sits in the bath and baby lies in it and can have a shower and she really enjoys having showers) and the rest of the days I flannel wash. I only use soap when she has her bath so once a week but I also use my breast milk with her baths and every time I flannel wash I pour some breast milk in the bowl. I wash her everyday because she’s very sicky so she often covers herself in sick and it gets in all her neck rolls but also do it as a bedtime routine so she knows bedtime is near. Have done this since about week 5 she’s now 17 weeks 😊
NHS website suggests no more than 2 a week until 6 months. Can wash away the goodness in their skin. Once it hits 6 months they only suggest more if they are weaning and have got it everywhere!
It’s fine as part of a bedtime routine as long as you’re not using soap and applying plenty moisturiser. I would say it’s probably not necessary to have a set bedtime routine at 7 weeks as they’re too young to know difference between night and day. We bathed a few times a week then.
I bath my boy everyday and have done since he was 1 1/2 months, before then it was every other day but I do it for the routine - I don’t use soap every time but I have a sensitive wash and moisturiser and his skin has been fine! Odd dry patches here and there but cream fixes it x
I bathe every other day until she started daycare then I bathe every night
We did once or twice a week at that age.
It depends on your baby and their skin. My son is like me, he has eczema and dry , sensitive skin, and you can see a clear reaction the second he gets wet. Even if no soap is used, the second he gets wet the skin gets red and blotchy and drier.
We do one every night as part of her routine. She’s 18 months now and loves bathtime 😁
I give mine a small warm water wash with cotton wool on hands face and feet every night and bath once a week. They don't need a full bath, it can really dry out their skin.

It depends on the child. My son was only bathed once a week due to bad eczema. He's now bathed twice a week (or more if necessary) due to being in daycare
We do a bath every night for the routine and it’s been fine
we bath every night so she’s in a routine but just don’t use products every night so we don’t dry out her skin. She’s now 7 months and had no problems with her skin x
When my girl was around that age we bathed her every night purely as that helped her settle and relax x
My girl is nearly 3 and still has a bath every night as part of her routine x
I found that bathing my daughter every night really helped establish a routine and we don’t always use soap. She’s going through a sleep regression at the moment but usually, she falls asleep as soon as she’s dry and dressed for bed
We bathe my 4 month twins every other night. We tried every night for their bedtime routine but it dried their skin out so bad. I haven’t noticed a difference in sleep when they don’t have a bath vs. on bath nights. We just read more bedtime stories on non bath nights.
I give my baby a bath once maybe twice a week and no more unless she's extra dirty from food or nursery. She also goes swimming once a week. She's nearly 13 months and have always done it like this
Sorry I clicked before I read, at 7 weeks just bath as much as you want to really. I only bathe my baby everyday because she's on solids and gets food stuck everywhere
1 bath a week
My daughter is nearly 9mo and has had a bath every night since she came home from hospital. It's now part of her routine and she enjoys bath time. She also doesn't have any skin concerns so not worried about her having one every night x
He’ll be fine, if you wanna bath every night I suggest just using water with no soap & just moisturise after to prevent dry skin x
