Yeah I would just keep pants on him, nothing you can do to help it! It never hurt my son, just redness that went away ❤️
You can buy knee pad/dock things for crawlers, i know as was gifted some at my baby shower. I am yet to use them but might help?
@Robyn may actually restrict baby from crawling normally, best of just leaving knees natural
Ah fair enough didn't know that!
I always try to make sure my daughter has leggings/trousers on. For the first few weeks her knees were red/dry despite moisturising but now it's like they've toughened up so it's not as noticeable x
I put a foam mat like a huge rug in my lounge room so when he’s crawling on that it’s not that bad. (But he does go off it, we had no playpen but the rest of the house was floorboards) And yeah pants. I took him playcentres ALOT because it’s free for U12m here so I was there every other day- he can crawl anywhere in there because it’s all padded, the whole place. And doesn’t hurt his knees. Plus gives me a break. And the library is carpeted as well. We went library 3* a week for his Baby bounce classes and playcentre the other days. If it’s cold you can double up on pants, like a thin one underneath a thicker one, or long onesies and pants over that.
There is physically nothing you can do to prevent it but you can just make sure knees are covered with clothing to help prevent skin breaking x
