Child benefit

How long did it take you to get your child benefit payments through? We stupidly claimed late due to a misunderstanding with my partners salary. Will it still be backdated 3 months if baby was born in April?

CB will be back dated. I think mine came through within a few weeks of the "we have the application" email. They will only give CB to either primary career (if you both work) or person with the lowest income (or whoever is on mat/pat leave)

Ours came pretty quick within a month and yes it's backdated

Oh I only thought that backdated it 12 weeks

@Emily it gets back dated to when you registered the birth of baby
