Induction first baby

So I’m 39+4 and went for a sweep today but wasn’t as successful as we thought and only half my cervix is open but it is soft , I have been advised by a consultant and doctor to book my induction for next week due to my bmi and continuing reduced movements , who has been induced at Milton Keynes hospital and how was it ? How long was you induced for before you had your baby and how long was you in hospital ect? I’m so nervous to give birth now knowing it’s gonna be next week 🩷

Hi! I was induced August 2023, went in Tuesday evening and started. Went smoothly and had baby girl on the Saturday early hours. It was busy at that point and was waiting for them to break my waters but they broke on their own. Really positive and happy experience and lovely staff x

Feel free to message me if you have any questions x

Going in on Saturday for my induction I’ll be 39 weeks due to GD. Super nervous. I was induced 10 years ago at mk hospital and my experience was pretty good was there for one night and went home. Xx

@🦂Scorp so exciting ! I’m booked in for the 30th I will be 39+6 weeks ! Just hoping everything goes smoothly from other people’s experiences I’m feeling abit more positive now x

Aw good luck hun. Wishing us both a safe labour delivery!! I’m trying to avoid any negative stories coz I’m already terrified. 😩🤞🏽♥️

Anyone being induced at Milton Keynes hospital in the next couple of days don’t get too excited, I was booked in for an induction yesterday and then after 6 hours of waiting for my bed got sent home at 11 last night as someone else took my bed , now I’ve got to go back this morning to just sit and wait for a bed to become available honestly this hospital just gets worse and worse 🤦🏻‍♀️

Omg don’t tell me that! I’m booked in for tomorrow at 4pm 😩

Surly they should only book people in once they have a bed available? Where do you sit and wait?? This sounds ridiculous x

@🦂Scorp honestly I’ve cried and stressed about it so much ! I was booked in for 7:40 yesterday morning it then got changed to 5pm I got there and was there 6 hours before they sent me home and now I’ve got to go back at 9am today to sit in triage and wait for a bed , my baby failed to meet criteria twice yesterday and they still sent me home, I have no hope for today at all 💔

Oh no babe I’m so sorry that sounds horrible. Sitting and waiting in triage is a nightmare. Why don’t they just confirm the bed before dragging you back in there today xxx hopefully you get one nice and fast today xx

@🦂Scorp I just put a post on Facebook about inductions at the hospital and it’s not looking very promising for today either 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s just so tiring and mentally draining being messed about constantly, it’s the not knowing what’s going to happen or when xx

I’ve just seen it x

Hey hun. Just checking in. Any luck on getting a bed today. Hoping it all got sorted x
