Best contraception?

I know that everyone is different but can someone help on what the best contraception is that seems to have the least side effects. I’m 4 weeks postpartum and really don’t want to start taking any contraception but I know I will have too as I don’t want another baby for a long time. I was on the pill when I was younger and it really messed me up mentally and made me gain lots of weight. I may have been on the wrong pill as I never tried any others so might still be open to that. I don’t really want anything invasive as if it doesn’t work out then it’s a whole thing getting it taken out.

honestly, if you don’t want to mess around with your body in anyway i’d stick to condoms x

Condoms and as your period starts to regulate again I’d look into the fertility awareness method particularly anyone that teaches symptom, temperature and cervix position within the method. I found the book the 5th vital sign amazing.

We've decided to go with condoms as well.

I had the coil. I liked that I could forget about it for 5yrs. When I was in my teens I was on the pill but kept forgetting to take it. The coil was also the only contraception I could have, other than condoms, because of some medication that I take regularly x

The mirena coil is the best thing I’ve tried. And you can have it taken out any time if you want another baby x

The one that I had was the evri patch, you put it on every week it’s just like a little sticker. The only thing is remembering to change it every week haha but I had no side effects at all x
