Increased fluid
Hi just wondering if any other mams have experienced increased fluid behind baby neck at 11 weeks , my third pregnancy , first was a miscarriage, 2 healthy baby boy so I’ve never experienced any of this and just wondering if anyone had good outcomes

My first baby had a cystic hygroma/increased fluid of 6.1mm at 11 weeks. He’s now age 2 and perfect, there are happy outcomes out there, there’s a couple of groups on here “cystic hygroma support” which I made and another I can’t remember the name of but if you type in increased fluid/NIPT I think it’ll come up. I had this with my boy and then other complications. Was offered an amniocentesis which I took as they weren’t sure if he would be compatible with life. Tests all came back normal, he’s now a healthy 14 month old.

I had this with my daughter. I then had the blood test which came back with a high chance of downs, Edwards or Patau syndrome but I didn’t want to do the amniotic needle test because of the risk of miscarriage as I’d already had 4 miscarriages by that point. Anyway, spent the next however many weeks worrying and by the time I had my next scan the fluid had reduced and everything was showing as “normal” and had a healthy baby 🙂
