Stopped babbling

He may be trying to say mama so has regressed on his other words x

I find it comes and goes. My daughter started clapping and did it nonstop every day for weeks, then all of a sudden didn’t and wouldn’t clap for a few days. I was worried it was a sign of a regression but just like that she started again and now does it on command (ie if I say “can you clap?” Without demonstrating first). Same with babbling. She stops for a day or two and then starts again with more noises. Yours is probably prioritising learning something else and will suddenly babble again and begin doing something new at the same time.
