Pre walkers to standard shoes

So the whole shoe thing I find really confusing… We got our girl some pre walkers from clarkes literally only for when we go out as she would want to be on her feet. Now she is walking properly do we carry on using these pre walkers or are we supposed to get something else? I know barefoot shoes are recommended too

I think its all a marketing scheme tbh im sure the prewalkers are absolutely fine x

My son has been walking since 10 months old, he stomp stomps around the place all day. He’s in pre-walkers but we went to get him some walker shoes and the woman watched him walk and said he doesn’t need walker shoes. I’m not sure when walkers will be needed if he can walk the entire length of shop and back 😂

I use sock shoes now, as my baby’s feet are finally big enough to fit in them. She started walking at 9mo and I had to use prewalkers back then. They are fabric on the bottom, so not really great for feet protection. You can find the sock shoes on amazon!

Usually the difference is the flexibility of the bottom of the shoe so prewalkers are better as they're not as solid as such. My little one has prewalkers and normal trainers, she's been walking since the beginning of November. There is a difference in the way she walks in trainers compared to prewalker shoes. I don't have any videos of her walking in shoes but it is noticeable. She definitely walks better in the prewalkers. The reason she has trainers is purely due to having older siblings and shoes from them lol 😆 xx

I think you can still choose pre walkers they tend to be more flexible I think? My little boy started walking at 10 months and at 11 months I went straight for first walkers as the lady in the shop said it’s when they are walking more confidently🧐 he’s been absolutely fine in first walkers though I think they are heavier than pre walkers xx

Ah thank you girls this is all so helpful. Will stick to these then as they’re still roomy. It all boggles my mind! 🥰
