Short luteal phase

Ok ladies, anyone have a short luteal phase and were you able to do anything to lengthen it? Mine is only 8 or 9 days long and I’m worried it will increase time to conception because only eggs that implant asap will have a chance. I’ve started taking vitex again as well as supplementing but c and d (on top of my prenatal). But I’m wondering if it will make a difference. I see conflicting info online. I’m also getting paranoid that it might be a sign I’m in perimenopause. I’m only 36 but my mum said she hit menopause early 😬

Hi Jessica, the only thing I have found that has increased my luteal phase is by taking progesterone suppositories. I would recommend having a consultation with your gynaecologist and having a few tests done including your bloods.

Ok thanks, I’ve been thinking that too but I also hate going because they never take anything seriously 🙄

Actually now that you say it, I remember telling my gyno that I had a short luteal phase and she didn’t suggest anything. It was only by going through IUI/IVF that they prescribed me progesterone.

I have a short luteal phase & I had 3 babies since 2021 & I am 42 now. My average cycle is around 24 days, if this helps any
