Bay Birth Unit

Has anyone or is anyone planning on giving birth in Bay Birth Unit? If so how did you find the experience and how do you go about making that happen? Do you just need to tell the midwife that that’s where you’d like to give birth instead of in singleton hospital?

The Bay Birth Unit is in Singleton hospital itself on level 4. You can have a chat with the midwife about going there I think. I had my care in labour there and it was great. X

I went there for a visit today and it’s so lovely! X

@Caitlin how did you get the viewing did you just ask your midwife? Also might sound really stupid but do you know how you’d get to have baby there, do you have to get put on a list? Or just a case of if there’s space on the day? Xx

There’s usually room. You just ring up when you think you’re in labour like you would for the labour ward. You don’t have to let them know before hand x
