My son eats about 30 to 32 ounces of formula per day. He just turned four months. He currently weighs about 15 pounds. He has an appointment next week so I was going to ask the pediatrician about adding cereal. I would ask your pediatrician if that is an option for her
My baby is on about 5 bottles of 5 ounces a day with purées . Gaining weight really good!
My son drinks 30-32 oz of breast milk a day.
mine is a week away from being 5 months and has about 7ish bottles of 4.5 ounces. every baby is different though! if youre concerned about it, it doesnt hurt to ask the doctor. its better to ask and be fine than not ask and have something wrong
Every baby is different! When we were trying to gain weight, we did a breastfeed and then a formula feed shortly after. The convention is 24 - 32 oz per day in total. Ours is probably about 26-28 oz total per day. In your case, if the strategy isn't working, maybe ask the ped for aalternate feeding options?
@Nadia he had suggested starting cereal and oatmeal, but she just spits it all out
3-4 oz every 3 hours , I’d be lucky if I get her to eat a full 4 😭
Mine is 6oz every 3-4oz with occasional feeds of rice cereal
@Lianna I will say 6oz 5x a day is much but if little momma takes it all, then I would say maybe dial back on the formula and see if she’s ready for cereal ☺️ listen to your baby
@Jessica She rarely ever spits up. I try giving her cereal or oatmeal before I give her the last bottle before bed. She just doesn't like it.
🤔 have you tried a table spoon of fruit … mix I tablespoon of banana in with the cereal ?
My son eats 5 times a day and only 5ounces 😅 but the pediatrician said last time it was fine but we have our follow up soon so we will see
