Speaking

How is your little ones speaking skills? My little one can say about 50 single words but not putting them together yet, for example he can say more and milk but can’t say more milk. Is anyone else similar or should I be worried?

You definitely shouldn’t be worried. Mine has a similar number of words just started putting a few words together over the last few days (literally I sent my husband a video of her yesterday and he was shocked that she put two words together) but nursery have her speech down as spot on for her age.

I was literally worrying about this too. My little one can say a lot of different words. But can not piece 2 together. She can say difficult words such as digger, sugar and chicken very clearly. But struggles to say simple sentences like “juice please” or “more mama”

Mine too. Loads of single words but no sentences x

Just to add I’m an early years professional and that’s completely normal :)

My little girl is a right chatter box, my boy at the same age was only saying a handful of words though and is now almost 3.5 and doesn’t stop talking. It’s hard not to worry but they do all get there in there own time 🥰

Don't be worried. I like to write down the words my little one uses/has said. We're at the 50-60 mark. She puts some words together such as "oh no". But otherwise doesn't.

Mines the same
