Extra growth scans 😩

So this whole pregnancy, my girl has been measuring on the smaller side. After the last scan they were happy as she was finally following the 10th centile but today the AC measurement has dropped and gone to the 5th centile. I know how inaccurate the scan measurements can be as they said my daughter was going to be 9lbs but she was 7lbs 6 and they said my son was small but he was bigger than my daughter and was 7lb 12oz. I've left the hospital today feeling very deflated. The sonographer said that on an average graph, my measurements are only just smaller than what they should be but on my graph she's coming up smaller. They work out your graph from BMI and previous babies and all that don't they. I've got to go back next week to have a LV Doppler scan which id never heard of before. It's to check blood flow or something and then I've got another growth scan the week after. I just think if she continues to grow the way she is, they're just going to want to induce me. Anyone else been through this or going through this?

I declined any extra scans my first born was 5lbs when born. Petite women usually have smaller babies plus some babies are just on the petite side nothing you can do about it but i have heard people being induced for having small babies

This is exactly my situation. At my 32 week growth scan baby was on the 14th percentile and then at my 34 week scan he dropped to 5th percentile. Yes they are inaccurate so I’m not worried, as long as everything else is fine (bloodflow, fluid levels, fetal movements etc). My first was small too, only 6pounds3oz. They said to me that now they will check the bloodflow every week and growth scan every 2 weeks. I am declining induction purely based on his size.

Im in the same position and being monitored

I won't ever decline extra scans purely because I had a placental abruption with my son and they can be detected on scans so it actually puts my mind at ease slightly by having the extra scans. I'm plus size and 5ft4 so i think because of that, they work it out that I'll have big babies or something but that's never been the case. My babies have never been big. My daughter was 7lb 6oz and my son was 7lb 12oz so good weights but I wouldn't say big nor small. Everything else is looking normal and ok so blood flow and amniotic fluid and all of that stuff. They said that's all fine. The Doppler scan scared me a little as I didn't know what that was and had never heard of it. I think because of the placental abruption I had with my son, my anxieties are quite bad now I'm reaching the end and this hasn't helped. But I do know how wrong they can be about sizing as they have been wrong with both of my other kids.

did you have any symptoms/signs of a placental abruption?

Nothing at all. I was 41+3 and went in to be induced and when put on the monitor, babies heart rate was really high and they knew something was wrong, popped my waters and it was blood and went straight down for my C-section. No symptoms or signs before that.
