Cucumber, carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes, pepper slices Cold chicken nuggets, hard boiled eggs, breadsticks & dip, jelly, yogurt or smoothie pouches Sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, wraps with fillings, cold pizza, pita & hummus, water melon/melon, banana muffins

@Emilie thank you Do you cook the pizza, chicken nuggets and the hard boiled egg the night before?

I follow a mum on instagram- feedingtinybellies. She’s American but has easy ideas she makes fun

@Karen yes! She will eat them all cold but I do also have a thermos I can put in her lunch box too. My little girl also loves pasta salad in her lunch box x

They get free school meals at this age so I would personally utilise them as they are definitely more balanced and nutritious than these snacks.

@Lisa unfortunately my daughter won't eat them 🤦 she sees them as dinners not lunch.

@Aaliyah thank you I'll have a look

@Karen hi my son was a very fussy eater but free universal meals has saved me a fortune. We order online so we would sit look and the options the night before. There was always sandwiches or a jacket potato on offer. After 2 years he has now become open to new foods. Quiche Omelette Homemade lunchables (crackers, cheese, ham chicken) Toasties Savoury muffins Pancakes and fruit Pitta fingers and dips, add cheese cubes or shredded chicken Boiled eggs Sausage roll Tuna pasta

Thank you everyone I'm doing another food shop tomorrow so I'll get a couple of bits suggested and see how she gets on

@Karen I have to say as a dinner lady , wr get alot of children who can be a little fussy reception to I'd say yr2 and then before you know there wanting to eat what their friends want, in the school I work at we have 1kid who only eat cheese sandwich or a jacket with cheese , dinner ladies will always cater for a child. It's worth a talk with the school 🩷

Fresh fruit and vegetables

Little mini salad pots. Fruit pots. Cucumber/tomato/pepper sticks. Pasta pots. Yogurt. Fruit winders. cheese straws. Sausage rolls. Cheesestrings/babybels. Mini maryland cookies

@Lindsey do you cut the cucumber sticks and pepper sticks or can you get all ready made

@Karen I cut them up myself x

@Karen have you tried cutting sandwiches into shapes with cutters? Or smaller bitesize pieces? Did she say why she didn't eat it?

I think this is one of the topics, in which the child is in in control 🤔 I mean this in a nice way possible as I've been in this position, perhaps just tell her "Mummy can't afford pack lunches anymore , (especially if she isn't eating them) tell her from now on it's school dinners, yes there might be tears etc but it won't be forever! Remember you are the parent, you are the boss, she is the child! At the end of the day , school dinners are nutritious , she'll have a pudding etc 😀 and don't say this but it doesn't matter if she can't finish all of it, just knowing she's eaten puts your mind at ease x

@Anita she's starting to eat cheese sandwiches and we do different shapes she ate it all apart from the boiled egg She didn't say why but she freaked out the next day worried she had boiled egg
