Anti reflux milk

So after chatting with health visitor we have decided to give anti reflux formula a try. We have been trying aptamil anti reflux over the past few days but have only noticed my regular supermarket doesn’t sell it so it’s a bit annoying to trek to another. So I was wondering has anyone ever changed the reflux milk they use and if anyone has any experiences with SMA anti reflux or cow and gate anti reflux milk?

Have you found the anti reflux milk to help? In my experience it often actually worsens discomfort. Feel free to message me if you like, I’ve helped many families with their reflux babies

Yeah it settles her vomiting massively and she seems more comfortable. I did consider using carobel as that’s what we used for my first born but getting prescriptions for it was always hard.

From last week we are using cow and gate anti reflux formula. What a change over night! My little one wasn’t keeping any bottles down and not putting on weight. He was having 60ml every 2 hours. Now he’s on 120ml every 2-3 hours and putting on massive amounts of weight! I highly recommend this to anyone whose baby has reflux!!

I've got the same problems for almost 6 months now and the GP hasn't been any help at all. Keeps prescribing either omeprazole or gaviscon. Finally changed her formula but I don't feel like they help too :/ my baby still isn't keeping any bottles down.

@Erisa what bottles and size teat are you using?

We've used c&g and HIPP. Found HIPP much better and our little one didn't get constipated on this one

@Nicola is the HIPP one the anti reflux one?

@Erisa tbh my first born she tried everything also so we soon lived with the vomit, but she did have CMPA so we had to use prescribed formula and carobel in the end. She sadly only stopped her reflux after her first birthday. I was excited to not have a reflux baby but around the 6 week mark was when her vomiting got bad but thankfully the reflux milk seems to be working I was just annoyed to realise I had gone with the one that was expensive and not available locally

@Gemma I might give cow and gate a try. Thank you

You can get a hipp anti reflux. We used to buy it on Amazon or in boots

My LO used hipp anti reflux and would recommend. Also just to say you can get Carobel at pharmacies (if they stock it) without a prescription.
