Heyy 🙋🏾‍♀️ If you’re trying to get onto midwifery, the easiest route is to go through is the apprenticeship. You still get paid a salary and get to practice as a midwife and still get your degree at the end. It’s the easiest route when you have kids. But you need to be working for a hospital for most of the places to take you on

Following, I’ve been trying to research today but getting no where. I have 2 under 2 and don’t live anywhere near a university so I don’t know if it’s do able or not

@Kayci heyy thank you. I have just messaged you. I didn't even know there was such a thing as an apprentiship? Is there for older students too?

The apprenticeship is fairly new. Came out in 2020. And it’s for everyone!

I’m not a midwife but a nurse but believe the courses have the same general rules/run the same way. We have an apprenticeship program as well but you have to be working in a hospital steady and apply. So they do a few days at uni and a few days at work and then placement periods but you get paid as normal. That apprenticeship program is for any age have 20 year old and 50 year olds doing it. Then again I went straight to uni and we have 18 to 40 year olds so varied then as well!

Hey , I’ve just qualified as a midwife! Feel free to message with any questions x
