Sterilising

Once your bottles are sterilised, where do you store them afterwards to use throughout the day? In the cupboard etc? Have been using tommee tippee bottles and sterilising in Milton and just getting parts out the tub throughout the day but just switched to MAM and planning to use the microwave for sterilising all bottles first thing in the morning, but where do I put them after? Do I put the bottles fully back together to store for the day?

I’m planning (currently pregnant) to make them up fully after sterilising. That’s how I got taught at work anyway (worked on a mother and baby ward). We always got told not to touch the teat and they’d be fine for 24 hours. X

Thank you. And keep them where? In the cupboard or on the worktop etc?

When bub was on the 160ml bottles I’d just keep them in the steriliser until ready, but now I’m just doing the bottles themselves in the microwave, I just put them together and leave on the side tbh, the teats covered by the lid so I ain’t concerned xx

You need to put them back together and then they stay sterile for 24 hours. Mine live on the side next to the kettle but I only have 6 and she uses 5 a day now ☺️

Thank you xxx

Hey, if you’re planning on using the MAM bottles in the microwave they only stay sterile if you leave them together the same way you sterilise them so I just grab them out the microwave from the base and twist the bottle together with the base so that they remain sterile until I use them if that makes sense…pic to follow

Oh okay thank you! I’ve been putting them back together properly rather than leaving them like that!

I did the same until I saw their sterilising vid on YouTube 🫣 at least you know now x

Would you mind posting the link to that video please? X

Sorry, just seen this now…here you go: https://youtu.be/PVHNw8Y9jqk
