when to share news?

I told my eldest after my first private scan at 6 weeks. For us, it gave us the freedom to be able to discuss things like the baby’s room etc at home and if he overheard he already knows. It also helps him understand why I’m constantly feeling rubbish and can’t give him my full attention sometimes. To add, only my family know I am pregnant - currently 9.5 weeks xx

I haven’t told my 2 children yet they are 11.5 and 4.5 years old! We had the 12 week scan last week and all looked ok! With my daughter’s pregnancy my son knew from the very start he’s a very mature boy and he loved being involved! My 4.5 year old can’t even keep a secret that her auntie slips her a cheeky chocolate when we visit so she would be telling the world about the baby and we haven’t told anyone yet! My husband works long shifts and we haven’t seen him since Thursday and won’t see him until tomorrow! We’ve spoken about perhaps doing it tomorrow or Tuesday but then he’s back at work for 48 hours and the kids will be picked up by grandparents after school and my husband wants to be the one to tell them because it is not going to go down well and I don’t want to pick them up and come under fire from the grandparents! Ugh it’s so frustrating at this rate I’ll be close to popping it out before anyone knows xx

I also want to tell my family and I’ll be seeing them today but can’t because the kids are with me and they don’t know yet and it feels strange doing it without hubby although he’s also working next Sunday when we visit family so I’ll have to do it alone then if not and hoping the kids know by then xx
