Yeah you’ll have to sterilise new bottles, but I think once sterilised they only last 24 hours, so might be better to do it closer x
They're only sterile for 24hrs and yes you need to sterilise new items x
If you want to bottle feed it's easier to just take some ready to feed bottles in with you in your bag as they come with sterile teats x
Use pre-made bottles with the teats to start with gives you more chance to relax with the baby and then sterilise them whenever you’d like as they’re only sterile for 24 hours
When I had my first the hospital provided a Milton cold water steriliser and also microwave bags so don't worry too much ☺️
You can get pre sterilised bottles and teats, ready to feed from the supermarket, they are starter packs, and get the newborn dummies that come with the sterilising case as they just go in the microwave. As others have said sterilising only lasts 24hrs
My midwife has said to leave all that stuff at home and let the hospital provide it all for you then you can concentrate on baby ☺️
With my first I took small pre made bottles of formula which come with teats and the hospital also gave me disposable bottles with teats which were sterile.
You have to sterilise brand new stuff, yes. I’m not sure how long that would last but I think I’d do it closer to the time unless they’re going to be kept in sealed bags or something
