We are doing a small family and godparent get together at our house, buffet food, cake and balloons. We plan to spend most on clothes for her as she still won’t understand a birthday and it’s something to unwrap, and then a few toys as Christmas has just been and she has 99% of toys she needs, we also have limited space. If it was up to me, I would love to spend it just as a family of 3 - but we also don’t have many young children in our family.
We hired a hall for around 4 hours and hired a bouncy castle/soft play/ball pit. We used a supermarket catering service for sandwiches, party snacks etc cooked some pizzas etc. Had a cake made. Decorations. Had pictures printed and displayed on wall for each month of his life and milestones etc. Cost was around £300-400 altogether, so not bad considering. He just wore soft jeans and an age 1 t-shirt ❤️
About £250, for 12 kids aged two and under. Not doing party bags until 2nd or 3rd bday. Includes food drink and 2 hour exclusivity of softplay hire
We've hired a hall. Cost is £165 for 2 hours plus ½hrs either side to set up/clear up, and the centre staff help with that too, and also a bouncy castle. I'm doing food - Iceland party foods, fruits, veg, sandwiches and BLW snacks. I'll be making her cake too. She's in nursery the week leading up to it and I'm still off work that week so I'll be prepping through the week. I've bought some little things for party bags (we've got 14 kids between 4mo and 9yrs coming) - rainbow ribbon rings for the babies, canvas paint set (pack of 4 in Aldi was £3.99) for the middle age bracket, doughnut magnet painting kit (off etsy, think about £9 for 6) for the older ones. Bouncy castle will occupy the older ones, then I'm bringing mats and some of baby's toys (including her present of a Pikler set) for the younger children and colouring in for a quieter activity. Outfit wise I've got her a cute jumpsuit (white with flowers) from Vinted and I'll pair it with a long sleeve ruffle collar vest underneath.
