@Jessica the last time I went she said I was measuring 4 weeks ahead so I feel like that’s a valid reason to check at least
Ahhhh I see! Do you have the ability to get a private ultrasound? I know that can be pricey. If you are up to it, how do you feel about switching OBs? Maybe talking to another OB who will hear your concerns? Not saying they will do an ultrasound though if they are in the same practice. But just offering some ideas to help reassure you baby is okay!
that is so weird. maybe it’s because all my pregnancies are high risk that I always get growth scans done? I can’t imagine not knowing 🫣
@Guadalupe they won’t give me an ultrasound because I’m not high risk last ultrasound I had with my ob was at 20 weeks
@Jessica I had a 3d one done and paid but they said because they aren’t medical professionals they would only be able to do pictures
@Honesty oh dang. Smh. Do you get an ultrasound at 36 weeks? If its any reassurance, fundal height & estimated fetal weights aren’t always 100% accurate. Any other concerning symptoms you have?
@Jessica she just feels no big and I’m getting a lot of pelvic pressure like she’s lower
@Honesty yeah in these last final weeks; the pressure is real! Just know when in doubt, go to labor & delivery if you feel something is wrong/up! ❤️❤️ you got this! So sorry you haven’t seen or gotten an update on baby since your 20 week. It is frustrating like you gotta be high risk to get regular ultrasounds. I wish routine ultrasounds were common no matter the kind of pregnancy
I was given 2 extra growth scans when they thought my belly measured big. But she's actually small, 21st centile according to the scans they did. Measuring the belly to see how big the baby is feels the same as measuring your head to see how smart you are imo 😅 it just doesn't work like that.
I think without the ultrasounds you won’t know an estimated weight. Usually for low risk pregnancies ; measuring the belly gives them an idea if baby is on track. I get growth scans because I have multiple fibroids but thankfully the fibroids haven’t impacted baby’s growth
