@Meis I asked for my results from the blood test and they weren't available yet (2 days later) and just said "oh we won't contact you if it's not an infection" .. was just wondering if anyone else has had this and what happened if not infection because they've basically just left me with the news and sent me off to worry. They did say too much water can be normal for me but this is my 3rd and it werent a thing with my other 2.
I see... but if they'll only contact you in case of an infection that means that there is nothing else to worry about. Too much fluid can apparently indicate an infection, but if you don't have an infection then everything is alright. ☺️
All the best to you and your baby. 🙏🏽❤️Fingers crossed that everything is alright. 🤞🏽
@Meis I hope it's not and that it's just normal for me this time around, I do have another scan booked in 2 weeks so I'm sure I can ask again then for more of an update. Just feels like forever! Thankyou though x
it’s a condition called polyhydraminos, i had it with my first, it’s basically just when you have too much amniotic fluid. they take 3 samples of blood to check for gestational diabetes, as this is one of the causes of polyhydraminos, but in most cases and like mine it can just happen for no reason. if it is polyhydraminos, you’ll most likely be given an induction date around 38 weeks as they don’t like to risk you going into labour naturally as if your waters were to break you’re more at risk for cord prelapse, but your midwife will run through all this depending on your results
Oh thankyou so much for this! That makes me feel better that yours was nothing, and I'm taking the no contact about my blood tests as a good sign so far. Hopefully it turns out to be nothing then 🙏 x
Why don't you ask them? They'll know best what this means. It's literally their job to answer your questions.
