We also kept our potty right next to toilet and every time we needed a wee we’d tell our son and ask him to take us and show us how to go to potty he loves to help 🤣
Very normal! Naked is easier in summer not now it’s cold lol a potty book helped is she wanted to be like the character a potty princess!
It is normal and they all do it at a different pace to be fair! We toilet trained over xmas and first few days we did had the odd small accident and since we've only had a big accident when he didn't nap that day so was super tired in the evening! Lots of encouragement and reward chart worked for us but give it 1-2 weeks before you decide on giving up I'd say x
We went without pants for the first week or so, as she only then had to sit on the potty and not faff around getting pants down or asking for help. Once she seemed more confident, we added in pants and then went to simple clothes - dressed for us.
From our experience it took at least 1 week for my little girl to adjust, plus she held in poos for first few days despite us offering her lots of water and foods with fibre! She had loads of accidents on day 1, day 2 had hardly any, day 3 we ventured out and had a few accidents and she kept asking for the potty every 5 mins even tho she didn’t need it most of the time 🙈 then once home on day 4 it just clicked and she did her first poo on the potty! Hang in there, loads of praise, and sticker chart and little choccie treats worked well for us!
Try being naked first sometimes with pants on they still think they’re in a nappy. We initially started with pants and we’re having lots of accidents that morning we let our little boy have a nap once he woke just kept him completely naked I was on the verge of giving up but that afternoon he had his first wee on potty and have never looked back since. The next day we then went to pants. Day after pants and trousers. Load of praise and over excitement when they go on the potty I found a baby shark potty training sticker chart on Amazon which my son loved!! Xx
