When did you start to feed your baby infant foods or solids. My LO will be 4 months this month

I didn’t start any food for my first until she was about 7-8 months old
I started my oldest at 5m when she could sit independently and was showing interest/trying to steal my food. I plan on waiting for the same things with my three month old.

Until they can sit on their own and control their head they should not be starting solids we started my son at 5 1/2 months and that was approved by his pediatrician. The main issue isn’t starting early it’s that if they don’t have head control they are going to choke. We had a home nurse and I wanted to start early but my daughter can’t sit without support so she advised against it.
