Eating

I see all these mums making fancy meals for their babies and I feel so guilty - I just can’t find the time to do any of that. And there’s little motivation too as she still doesn’t eat anyway. I’m often lucky if she’ll eat a couple of bites. I’m feeling guilty about not introducing her to lots of different foods/ not cooking as much for her. Plus feeling worried when I see how much other babies eat and here’s me happy if she eats a raspberry for example. She also just often spits the food or water out and won’t eat it.

Dw I feel the same about cooking, I feel like I’m so basic and I feel bad. But I get it when it seems pointless if they’re going through a fussy phase! My partner used to be so fussy when he was little and now he eats everything so I wouldn’t worry 🤍

I started on hellofresh so i kinda have to cook. You can choose between so many meals and some only take 20 minutes and are super tasty and easy. Might be an option ☺️

Our baby refuses to eat much too If we make her nice meals she just wastes them 😂 don't feel guilty! I think they all go through phases. I just offer her basic things now and even then it's usually a no 🤦🏼‍♀️

Don't believe everything you see online. I've tried making the fancy pancakes and things and my son doesn't care and might not even bother taking a bite. Don't worry at all. I think the easiest thing to do is just let her eat what you eat (we do this now). Then there's no pressure to make anything special or particular for her. I cook on a Sunday night or do something in the slow cooker (did peanut butter chicken curry in the slow cooker) and we all had some with rice for tea. He picked at it, ate some himself, his dad spoon fed some and then he just demanded a banana instead 😅
