How to potty train in 3 days book was super helpful for us. Recommends reinforcements and can’t leave the house for 3 days, put away electronics and just potty train. Worked for us- don’t expect 💯 potty training. That takes weeks. But the concept was learned in the 3 days. My little one can have a week with no accidents or 3 in one day(mostly at daycare 🙄), but for the most part he tells us when he needs to go.
I take my daughter whenever I go, it’s seemed to really help her. Even if I don’t have to go, she still wants me to sit on the toilet. I think it makes her feel more comfortable.
Yeah, I do when I go to the bathroom and take my daughter with me so she can try using the potty. She’s got the same potty training chair.
My doctor said to just go with the flow and not worry, some days she'll want to and some days she won't. To get started, when we woke up I put her on the potty and asked if she needs to pee, then I set a 30 minute timer for the first day and did it, the second or 3rd day we changed it to every hour but she got tired of it so we now only do it if she asks to potty, and the more we do it when she says she needs to pee the more she seems to say it. After a bit longer of doing it this way we plan to try again with taking her every hour and then waiting a little longer a few days later and then hopefully only when she asks and the whole time of doing this she will most likely be wearing a diaper just in case This is just how we are doing it, it doesn't need to take only a few days to do. If rushed it will take longer and be more stressful for both you and the kid
It's definitely a learning experience just starting is the best put her on the potty every hour or so.
