Back to work days

Anyone else had to go back to work 4 days a week or more hours etc. than initially expected? I'm really stressed by this because I planned on working 3 days a week but unfortunately have to go back 4 and I've struggled to find a job in my field that will let me do anything less than 4... I'm feeling so stressed that my daughter is going to be seriously impacted by this, as she'll be at a childminders 3 days a week and we are still trying to figure out childcare for the fourth day. I just wanna know if anyone else is in the same boat about having to work more than expected?

Yes I’ve had to go back four days a week when originally I said no way would I do that but haven’t had a choice. My LO goes twice to nursery and two days with family. It is hard but I keep telling myself it’s not forever eventually I will cut down to three days but right now it’s not possible x

@Natalie I'm thinking the same about it not being forever - I'm also pregnant so go on Mat leave in August so it's literally only until then... But it's so hard leaving them even tho it's only one day extra than planned! Xxx

I’m back full time and using holidays to take Fridays off so only working 4 days and only have childminder for 3 so the fourth day lb will be home with me but we’re lucky as Nanny lives close by and she’s said she’ll come and watch him here 9-12 while I work, then he’ll nap and his dad is going to try and come home at 2pm on those days to watch him while I finish. Won’t be easy but all we can do 😬

I worked 3 long days between maternity leaves and I’ve now went back for 4 days and was dreading it. I’m only a month in and it’s a hard adjustment on balancing everything but I’m not struggling with the separation part as much as I expected x

I’m back full time but over 4 days, little one in nursery 4 days. It’s actually ok (1 week in) but honestly lots to get used to in terms if a rhythm and working together etc c
