Baby Hugo decided to make his arrival on Sunday at 39+5, born at 6.10pm at 8 pounds and 3oz. After my waters broke.late Saturday evening, we were admitted to hospital where my amniotic fluid showed some signs of meconium. After being carefully monitored, an emergency c section was almost needed. Thankfully baby's vitals improved and we proceeded with an epidural for a natural vaginal delivery. After being put on a hormone drip and pushing for several hours, baby was safely delivered with a ventouse and an episiotomy. Recovering in the postnatal ward now and it has been a whirlwind day or so... Could not be more in love with my baby. Greatest day of my life. 👶♥️🥹
