I’m on Citalopram once a day and I’ve definitely noticed a difference. I’m not as down and upset or snappy. Only con is I don’t like relying on medication to make me feel normal and happy x

I'm on zoloft. it's been really good for helping me be able to fall asleep at night and has really helped with intrusive thoughts. I also haven't really experienced many side effects. but I am having crazy dreams and some nightmares that keep waking me up, so I'm not sure if i want to keep taking it or if I want to try something else. I've been on zoloft for about a month.

I’m on sertarline once a day. First couple weeks were rough but once they were in my system I noticed that my moods changed and I don’t really have any depressive episodes as much as I did 4 years ago. Like the other cons don’t really like replying on tablets to help my moods. Also have bpd as well so that doesn’t help.

I have pmdd, mdd, gad, autism abd adhd. So I'm on a few different medications. I've come to the realization that I'll always be on meds the rest of my life and I'm mostly ok with that as long as I can afford them. I'm on abilify, wellbutrin xl, and pristiq for my moods and depression. I love that I feel mostly ok and im not crying every day or angry or can't deal with the public or my family at home. Without my meds I'm a whole ass mess and I can't afford to be. I don't have cons except idk if I'll always be able to afford 5 meds a month

@Heather i think my low moods are because of PMDD. I don’t have a diagnosis but when my periods due I have episodes of being sad and just cry at anything or I’m really angry and irratable literally over nothing. My partner has adhd so this really affects me also and gets me down but the way I react I think is because of my moods I can’t stand things as well as before

I've had pmdd since puberty. It's fun. Bc can work for some with pmdd to help regulate moods. Unfortunately for me bc just completely messes me up. So I added the mood stabilizer on top of my depression med.

@Heather ive never been on BC stall untill i was 29 and then i noticed my moods have been awful so i wondered if it was that but i got the non hormonal coil but since then ive noticed I’ve not been good

The non hormonal coil isn't going to be used to treat pmdd because it's generally your hormones causing the issues. So generally they will try a regular bc then a bc that eliminates or slows down hpw often you have a period. But you can also treat it with depression meds or a mood stabilizer.

@Heather sorry I mean since getting the non hormonal coil that’s when I noticed my moods really bad . Could that be connected ? Do you have a diagnosis of PMDD ? What are your symptoms like if you don’t mind ti share as I’m going to speak to my do ore about it as when I first heard of PMDD I related to a lot but can it just happen? I have had 3 back to back pregnancies since 2020-2023 so my body has been exposed to lots or hormones 🤣
