Weaning

Hows everyone getting on with weaning if started? This is my second week with purées using Ella’s kitchen book and feel like she’s just not interested 🙄 has a teaspoon or a little more then just spits it out everywhere. Is this normal ? Trying to do it same time each day when she’s relaxed and hungry

We started weaning last week and are in the same situation as you 😂lots of food being spat out and mess everywhere! At this stage, it is more about trying new textures and flavors rather than how much they eat. It will take time, but we’ve got this, mamas.

Thank you! Glad I’m not the only one but just trying to remember like you said it’s exploring new textures and tastes xx

We are eating since 22 Jan creamy porridge in the morning and everything from Tesco, Picollo apple/pear +spring green, Tesco green stage 1 - broccoli, peas, spinach, she eats with pleasure 6-7-8 tiny spoons, but at the same time making mess 😄😄😄, thinking when to start yogurts etc, we are breastfeeding

We've started over the last few days after he stole a bit of chicken out of my hand 😂 Don't worry about how much they eat at this stage, its all just about flavours, textures and having fun! We've tried a couple of pouches, cooked chicken breast strips he can hold and chew, cooked broccoli and carrot that he basically just squidged in his hands 😅 toast, a bit of yoghurt, rusks and some Organix sweetcorn puffs 😊 he seems to be enjoying himself with it!
