What to do with unwanted gifts?

When I told my Chinese parents that I was pregnant, my mum ran off to buy a whole bunch of expensive Chinese teas, herbal pills and other things to help with postpartum, she also bought herbal pills for my baby. I’m not against traditional Chinese medicine but honestly, I’m not going to use this stuff. Especially not the pills for myself or my baby. I didn’t follow the Chinese confinement rules that she told me to do. (Don’t shower, don’t eat cold things, don’t touch cold water etc) I’m not close to my mum and after having my baby, I’ve realised that my parents have been more harmful than good. The thing is that I know this stuff probably cost a lot of money, and it makes me feel guilty if I throw it away. It’s not like I can return it too. What should I do?

Pass it onto friends who might be interested?

Can you sell it and save the money to get something for you pp or baby

If you post it for free on facebook marketplace, tons of moms will message to pick it up on your porch. And it feels so good to help other moms ❤️❤️ I gave a lot of postpartum things away for free that I didn’t use to mom’s in my neighborhood - porch pickup.

If you're in the UK I would buy it!

Donate it to a friend

Donation? Also did you try being honest with your mum? Something like look mum I really appreciate all of it but I have my ways and all I can do with all these things is to pass it to someone else.

I would just regift it

Try selling it, I would had brought it! I found it difficult to find where I lived :)
