Baby won’t settle

My little girl is 4 weeks old and formula fed (Aptamil). When we give her a bottle she has about 20-40 mls then pushes it away and will cry inconsolably then later spit it all up. We make sure to hold her upright during feeds and for 15 mins and burp regularly. We’ve tried the colic Aptamil and infacol and nothing seems to help. I’m starting to worry that she’s not going to be eating enough. She’s feeding every hour even during the night due to not finishing her whole bottle. Does anyone have any advice, I’m a first time mum and it’s just me with her during the day and the crying is really starting to get to me. :(

What bottles are you using?

My babies been suffering from reflux and colic for ages so I know how you feel we are in a bad patch at the minute so here to help x

@Meg it’s difficult isn’t it, hope you’re okay! We use the Phillips Avent ones, they’re supposed to be anti colic. X

My little boy struggled. Turns out it was the bottle that was the issue. I have 4 different types of bottles with different flow teats to try and he has the whole bottle now with tommee tippee and MAM bottles x

Try mam bottle using teat 0 or 1

It could Sky’s be the formula.. maybe try switching her abd seeing if it helps at all, we moved to SMA pro and it seemed to settle her belly much more.. some can be too rich which is why she might be spitting it up and refusing full feeds xx

I would try a different brand of milk because I have just moved my lg from kendamil to cow and gate because of reflux and constipation and she has been like a different kid so far x

We have always used mam bottles. Between teats 0 or 1, mainly 1 now though, she is 2 months old. Mam are anti colic and we have never had a problem (touch wood) also try gripe water, it settles any gas’s in the tummy and any discomfort x
