My boy is the same, nothing keeps him entertained for long. But I’ve worked out that naked tummy time is a winner, for some reason being starkers means he’s way more content (I guess he’s a typical boy like that 🤣), it does mean clearing up because he inevitably wees everywhere but I put him on a big muslin cloth/towel on a wipeable play mat. Another thing I’ve discovered is he just likes being with me & watching me do chores around the house, so I’ll either put him in his bouncer and he can watch me iron/fold clothes or if he’s a bit fussier he can go in the carrier which slows me down but keeps him happy. I was killing myself trying to entertain him before I realised he just loves the mundane stuff, and whilst it’s boring to us it’s still stimulating for them watching us move and interact with household objects x
@Justyna ive tried a bouncer and he hates it, cries every time hes in it
@Justyna I have heard the fisher price piano is good so might give that a try
@Sophie I do the same, either put my baby in her bouncer or place her on the mat where she can see me do the chores 😊
I’m struggling with the same thing- with my 4 month old boy. As Sophie mentioned, I too put him on the bouncer and let him watch me do chores around the house, if he starts fussing…I narrate what I’m doing, and that seems to entertain him 😅😂 so if I’m cooking, I put his bouncer on the kitchen floor next to me and I narrate the whole process like in a cooking show 😂 he likes the attention and the sound of my voice I guess. I need to try the naked tummy time thing Sophie mentioned. I have a feeling my boy will like that
@Sophie just jumping on this to say if you haven’t tried already, puppy pads (aimed at puppy’s learning to toilet train) are great for naked tummy time, soaks up the wee and saves some of the mess 😂
@Megan oh my god this is genius, thank you!!!
@Sophie no problem! 😊
My baby loves having a burping cloth under her head that she plays with, I never give her too many toys at the time, just a few. I also put contrast books by each of her sides. She really loves Vtech tambourine at the moment, fisher price kick piano, matchstick monkey lion teether, sensory book, elephant comforter and a deer doll. When she is fussy I change her position to tummy time or I put her into a bouncer and that usually makes her happy, or we practice rolling and sit ups.
