I’m in the exact same situation! My daughter will be two at the beginning of April and she is so smart and excelling way above average in everything except speech! She can’t say any words completely clearly but does say the odd word here and there that I have learnt to understand. Her 11m old sister is doing 2 syllables and her words are significantly clearer too so I know it’s definitely behind.
Thankyou this makes me feel better. He understands almost everything I say but seems stubborn. He said sit down couple days ago and I was over the moon tried to get him to say it again nope 😂😂 xx
My daughter is exactly the same. Understands everything, but speech isn't great. She was slightly later with crawling and walking but just did them both one day. I'm fully expecting her to give a full sentence one morning out of nowhere 🤣 x
@Jo my son was also “late” crawling and walking. I know I shouldn’t compare or worry because he’s happy but it’s so hard when his friends are talking so much x
Yes, I’m in the same boat! My little one isn’t saying much yet either. We take him to footie classes every week, where he plays with other two year old boys, and none of them seem especially verbal either, so I’m not too worried.
