Breast milk storage bags and into the freezer. I’ll never run out as I always have milk that I’d have pumped from the day before etc. The only tip I can give you is defo drink oat milk (I started having oat milk hot chocolates) and eating porridge and my supply went up massively. Get a decent pump - I have the Momcozy M5 which is so good. I wear it shopping lol. I also have the Medela Harmony hand pump (I use that when I have a clogged duct)! Go on TikTok and watch some videos on the jug method! I promise, it isn’t as bad as it sounds! I was so confused but it really is okay & you’ll get the hang of it. If you want to privately message me ANY time, please do and I’ll help/give advice where I can 🤍
I've been exclusively pumping for nearly 10 months. It is hard work I won't lie but once you've got into the swing of it it's easy. Milk bags are great, especially for freezing. You cannot mix milk that is of different temperatures. So you'll either need to pump into a bottle and then mix later onto a jug or use milk bags/bottles. I would advise keeping evening and morning milk separate. You product different hormone levels in your milk at different times of the day. This is to help baby wake up in the morning and help baby feel sleepier in the evenings. Get a decent pump. Many people swear by a mains powered one but I've always used the medella freestyle and I've had a decent supply. You'll want to pulp every 2 to 3 hours for at least 6 weeks and at least once at night time between 2 and 5am, twice is better (I never did twice, once was enough for me mentally). I found a hands free portable pump had really helped. I sterilise the pumps with a microwave sterilisation bag and take it out with me
People would confuse you here as well! 😂 I’m a CLE and 3x exclusive pumping mom who has successfully met her pumping goals and helped countless other moms do the the same. If you want to break free from the noise and save your $ trying all the things people are telling you and get it right from the start with a strategy that works for YOU…. DM me 🤗
Hey lovely. So… My little one is 3months now and I was determined to pump. I didn’t want him to latch. My milk didn’t come in for 5 days and my boy had all of the colostrum within the first day so he had to have formula. I gave him the ready made Aptamil. This was ideal because when I started pumping, and my milk came in, I was basically a day ahead of myself - meaning I had breast milk in the fridge for him. I started pumping every 2-3hrs. I would pour them into little breast milk storage bottles and then when I needed to, I’d pour them into a MAM bottle. What I do now is pump 4/5 times a day, and pour them into the storage bottles. Once it’s been in there for an hour or so, I’ll pop it all into a jug (dr browns one) and mix it all together. That way he’s getting the milk from night time and day time. I’ll then pour them into MAM bottles ready for the day. I use the jug for around 4 days and whatever milk is left in the fridge by the 4th day in the evening, I’ll pop it into
