I have my midwifes number but don't bother contacting her anymore, I just got a letter sent thru abt scans and that was it, she went thru some q's and got to hear baby's heart beat n that was it
Not an awful lot tbh! They took/checked a urine sample first, I had blood pressure checked, was asked a few questions about movements, how I’m feeling etc and she booked in a few more appointments for me (not for my scan - that was second through the post) and that was it
They should check at your next midwife appointment that you have your next scan booked in so make sure you ask if they don’t bring it up. Midwives in my area don’t give out their phone number but ask people to ring the maternity advice line. 16 week appointment is v quick. Blood pressure, urine check, got asked about well being and if I felt the baby moving yet. Didn’t listen to baby’s heartbeat until the 24 week appointment x
Was a bit of a pointless appointment I felt, though nice to put a face to a name.
I had mine today- honestly not a lot. Checked my BP, gave me my blood results from my 8 week appointment and asked if I had any thoughts on birth plan. That was it. I also don’t have a number for my midwife just triage. However my scan date came straight after my 12 week scan nothing to do with midwife so might be worth calling to chase?
