Yes my LO has been eating solids since around 6m she is almost 9m I still offer her purées but she would much rather have solids. Some of her favorites are eggs, bananas, pancakes, spaghetti. My Daughter is such a foodie so she will eat just about anything you put in front of her. Caught her last night eating a pizza roll she got off her brothers plate 😂

I have only been doing purees with scrambled eggs and some of those crunchy sticks or puffs. I’m petrified of her choking. I don’t know how moms do it! Makes me so nervous!

Yes LO is 8months this week started solids at 6 month and is now eating a variety and about 3 small meals/ snacks a day about

Honestly, I have two older kids & they take up so much energy at dinner time that I put off solids for my LO for so long & the moment I was more intentional with giving her solids, she was obsessed! Definitely plenty old to be eating solids if you’re nervous. Just cut things small & keep an eye on them while they eat.

Also would like to add to do soft foods if you’re doing solid solids. Like cooked carrots or green beans or bananas. But if you’re doing purées, baby can practically suck those down like a smoothie haha so start with those to ease into it. We used to blend whatever we were eating for dinner in our blender & feed it to our kid once they made it through trying all the fruits & veggies lol they can eat anything but honey at this age.

Yes he started slowly eating around 6 month, mostly purées. Then I started with easy soft foods: eggs, avocado, sweet potatoes. I encourage him to eat himself it will get better with time.

Mine has been eating solids since 6m. We did avocados and bananas as first food. He now eats everything. No processed foods or sugar though.

I started at 5 months and it’s been great.

Trust your instinct. Start with very small bites ( depending on food) but when I started solids but both my babies, chicken wings would be top of the list for introductory foods. Lots of flavor for them to *taste* and if prepared right, very hard to choke on. This isn’t something everyone might suggest, but of all the solids we started with, this one gave me much less anxiety. 😥

I didn’t start actual solids until they both had teeth & were just starting to taste water though…

Yes my daughter is my second baby. With both of my kids I started them at 6 months. She loves solids. We did blw with both from the beginning

Doing fantastic, eating bread, broccoli, noodles, cut up grapes, and more. She just started cutting her first tooth last week.

We started at 6M going slow with some purées and introducing some potential allergens. At like 7mo she snatch some food out of my husbands hands lol so we switched to baby led weaning. She eats more than my 2 year old some days. She didn’t particularly care for fruits but loves meats and veggies. I tried introducing fruits first and she spit it out. Did sweet potatoes and had to go back and make more

If you're worried about choking give them something that's too big to swallow but that they can easily hold. We'll do a large piece of carrot or celery that she can just hold and much on or softer things like avocado or mango slices. Same for meat, a strip of chicken or steak they can suck on is a great way to start! You'll be surprised too, they're smart. If they take too big of a bite they'll spit it out. All a part of the learning process!

Gagging is totally normal just keep trying
