@Helen it’s called the hook effect, extremely common.
Confused on what you’re asking xx
I wouldn’t worry , the test line is darker than the control line xxx
Don’t worry love you look good. Looks exactly like mine when I got pregnant and I did actually have the hook effect. But either way hun you’re okay. When is your ultrasound?
@Sophie on Saturdays it is which is the pic I attached to the comment but today it isn’t (the pic attached to the post, it’s got lighter & now they’re the same colour, no longer a dye stealer. X
@Summer I had one on Sunday & we seen a heartbeat but the fact my test is lighter & isn’t the hook effect isn’t filling me with any hope at all now x
I wouldn’t worry, your old test is dry and dry tests appear darker
@Ciara which test, sorry? The pic of the tests are all taken well before 5 mins. The 3 this morning I dipped one after the other & Saturdays which is in the comments was taken 3-4 mins after dipping. X
You are comparing them to Saturdays test right? Saturdays test may just look darker bc it’s dry!
@Ciara I’m comparing them to a pic of Saturdays test which was taken at the 3-4 min mark. X
I worry that all you are doing is adding to your anxiety. I’ve had a loss as well so totally know how all consuming and worrying this time is, but you could be drawing completely wrong conclusions based upon your at home experiments and get yourself really upset without a reason to be. You’ve seen the heartbeat and didn’t have any issues pointed out at your scan. I would say just book another private scan for reassurance if you need it, that will be the best confirmation you could get x
@Gemma it’s bloody awful isn’t it? I’ve literally just booked a private scan for Saturday morning, it’ll be 1 day shy of a week since my NHS so if all is well should be quite a difference. X
What’s the purpose of diluting? What is that supposed to achieve? I’ve not heard of someone doing this before
